Every Friday (Winter Hours - 9 AM to 1 PM October through May) (Summer Hours - 8 AM to 11 AM June through September) Every Friday near the Sundial in Carefree! Vendors change weekly. Carefree Friday Nights
Every Friday evening from 5 PM to 9 PM at Carefree Town Center at 8 Sundial Circle in Carefree. This weekly event invites you to explore the charm of Carefree after sunset. Local restaurants offer live entertainment, and stores in the Town Center stay open later for more shopping. Enjoy a delightful dinner, stroll through the Carefree Desert Gardens, and discover local treasures—in one night. It's a simple and enjoyable way to experience the best of Carefree under the stars.
Kentucky Derby Party at the Holland Community Center
Saturday, May 4, 2024, from 2 PM to 5 PM, located at 34250 N, 60th St., Bldg. B in Scottsdale. The cost is $50. Join us for an afternoon of Food, Fun, and Fancy Hats at The Holland Center! The world’s most legendary racetrack, Churchill Downs, has conducted thoroughbred racing and has continuously presented America’s most fantastic, Kentucky Derby, since 1875. Reserve your front-row seat at the Holland Center, for this year’s event and join in the excitement of this world-class race. Kiwanis' Family Fun Days Mother's Day Tea
May 5, 2024, from 2 PM to 4 PM at the Cave Creek Museum located at 6140 E Skyline Drive, in Cave Creek. Our May family event is to honor our mothers and grandmothers! Please bring your children and join us for an old-fashioned English Tea at the museum in honor of Mothers’ Day! We will be serving tea and lemonade, and each child will also have an opportunity to design a small terracotta pot and choose their own succulent plant to pot as a take home gift for Mom! FREE, THANKS TO THE GENEROUS FUNDING OF THE KIWANIS' CLUB OF CAREFREE.
The Arizona Gold Mining Experience
May 11th from 10 AM to 11:15 AM at the Cave Creek Museum at 6140 E Skyline Dr, Cave Creek, AZ 85331. *** Due to the popularity of this event, pre-purchase of tickets is required. Tickets may be purchased on the EVENT page. The museum opens at 9 AM for event check-in, The AZ GOLD MINING EXPERIENCE begins at 10 am! The Cave Creek Museum’s AZ GOLD MINING EXPERIENCE is unique with its display of the complete hard rock ore extraction process, with the mine shaft, tramway, ore carts, crushing, and extraction, which are always on display but operated during the AZ Gold Mining Experience.
Spring Carefree Restaurant Week
May 13 - 19, 2024, Restaurant Week allows all participating restaurants to showcase their menus at discounted prices. Some restaurants offer a special lunch menu, others a special 3 or 4-course dinner for dine-in guests. In honor of the Town of Carefree's 40th Anniversary of Incorporation, the Restaurant Association will offer a special $40 menu during Restaurant Week. This special menu will include either lunch or dinner. Customers can sample new and exciting culinary offerings to support their local restaurants. Carefree Art Night - Downtown Carefree
May 16th from 4 PM to 7 PM in downtown Carefree. (October - May) Join Carefree Galleries on the Third Thursday of every month October through May for their seasonal Art Night! Stroll, shop, dine, and enjoy an evening celebrating the arts in downtown Carefree! These events help support local businesses and creativity, making our Arizona culture a better place to live, work, and visit. These events are FREE and self-guided and offer FREE Parking. You may start at any gallery and continue to other participating galleries to enjoy a diverse display of artistic styles and mediums. Meet the artists, enjoy refreshments, and converse about art and architecture.
Town of Carefree Memorial Day Tribute
May 27th from 8 AM to 9 AM at Cave Creek Memorial Cemetery 36400 N Pima Rd in Carefree. Please join us for a special ceremony to honor our soldiers who gave their lives in service to our country.
